Fluz is a rewards-first payments company. We build the virtual card and gift card infrastructure that lets people and businesses earn on spending they were already doing — and we let other companies embed that same infrastructure into their own products through our API. We issue virtual cards, run wallets and virtual bank accounts, and move serious volume every month across consumer, corporate and enterprise programs.
We’re a small team that ships fast. We’ve just reorganized into three GM-led business lines and
we’re hiring across all of them.
This role sits in Rewards Maximizers — our highest-velocity line. The customers here are numerate and deliberate. They run large, planned volume through our cards and gift card marketplace specifically to maximize what they earn back, often in merchant categories that most card programs aren’t built to handle at size, including licensed and regulated verticals. Supporting that spend properly, at scale and inside a clear risk framework, is what this line does.
Sales brings us the customer. You make them a customer.
You pick up every new account the moment it signs up, and you own it until it is fully verified, fully set up, funded, spending regularly, and genuinely getting value out of the product. Verification, account configuration, first funding, first purchases, and then the habit — that entire stretch belongs to you, and nobody takes it off your hands until the account is established.
It sounds like onboarding. It isn’t. Our customers are numerate, impatient and specific. They arrive with a plan and a list of merchants and they expect it to work immediately. When something doesn’t, most of them won’t tell you — they’ll just stop. So the job is less about walking people through a checklist and more about seeing friction before the customer hits it, and removing it.
It’s a seat that rewards someone exceptionally detail-oriented. You’ll go deep on how our product actually works, because when something doesn’t go through, the customer comes to you — and “let me check with someone” is rarely the useful answer. People who are good at this end up understanding Fluz better than almost anyone else in the company.
Get it right and the account becomes a durable, growing customer that someone else will manage for years. Get it wrong and it quietly disappears in week three.
The headline number is activation: the share of your cohort that goes from sign-up to a fully established, regularly spending account.
Around it — verification completion rate, time from sign-up to verified, time from verified to first funded purchase, and total time to an activated account. We measure in cohorts rather than calendar months, so you see the full arc of your own work.
One clear outcome, one clear number, and a dashboard that tells you every week whether you’re moving it. There’s very little between you and the outcome. If you want a job where you can point at a metric and say “that’s mine,” this is it.
