We are looking for an Operations Specialist with a focus on Payments Processing to help support and optimize our transaction workflows, settlement operations, and payment processor integrations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and enjoys working at the heart of financial operations.

What you will do

• Monitor daily payment activity to ensure successful authorization, settlement, and reconciliation across payment processors and banking partners
• Support onboarding and maintenance of new payment processors and merchant accounts (MIDs), including testing, documentation, and implementation
• Investigate and troubleshoot failed or delayed transactions (ACH, card payments, internal transfers), escalating to internal teams or partners as needed
• Assist in root cause analysis for processing issues and contribute to process improvements to reduce errors and manual interventions
• Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Compliance teams to maintain accurate records and streamline operational workflows
• Track and analyze payment operations data, using spreadsheet tools or internal dashboards to report on key metrics
• Support customer service and internal teams by resolving escalated payments-related inquiries and operational edge cases to create seamless user experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field
• Experience or strong interest in payments or financial operations
• Proficient in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting
• Analytical mindset and high attention to detail
• Clear and professional communication skills for working cross-functionally and with external partners
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work night shifts and weekends as required
• Critical problem-solving skills
• Nice-to-haves: Familiarity with payment processors, ACH, card networks, and financial data systems, experience in operational support roles at a FinTech, payment gateway, or financial institution, exposure to API-driven financial services or digital wallet products, SQL experience
