Corals are colonies of millions of tiny little animals. They are cousins of jellyfish and anemones, and are home to a quarter of all marine species! They provide food for millions of people, attract a lot of tourism and act as barriers protecting shorelines from storms. We partner with trusted organizations like Coral Guardian and Biorock Indonesia to restore coral reefs that have been damaged or degraded due to human activities. Our partners grow living corals in a nursery and transplant them to the degraded reef when the fragments reach a viable size. Then, they monitor the growth and health of the transplanted colonies to ensure their survival.
