Electro Savings Credit Union was founded in 1941 by employees of Union Electric Company (now Ameren) in St. Louis, Missouri, later adopting a community charter serving the St. Louis metro and parts of southwestern Illinois. It held about $198 million in assets and 18,000 members before merging into CommunityAmerica Credit Union effective January 1, 2025, and no longer operates as an independent institution.
