The Bookkeeper will support Fluz’s daily financial operations by helping keep records accurate, organized, and up to date. This role focuses on transactional bookkeeping, basic reconciliations, and financial data organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, comfortable using QuickBooks Online, and excited to grow in a fast-moving FinTech environment.

What you will do

• Record daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, including expenses, payments, deposits, and journal entries as directed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations and assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports by ensuring underlying data is complete and accurate.
• Track and organize vendor information, invoices, W-9s, and payment records.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice tracking and payment status follow-ups.
• Help maintain internal financial organization, calendars, and documentation to support planning and forecasting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes, documentation, and system organization as the company scales.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all financial records and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required).
• Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas, reconciliations, data organization).
• Experience supporting bookkeeping for a retail, e-commerce, or FinTech-related business is a plus.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow established accounting processes while proactively flagging issues or discrepancies.
• Entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset with comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working with financial systems and digital tools.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
