We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Compliance Specialist who excels at navigating regulatory requirements, supporting bank partnerships, and strengthening internal controls to ensure Fluz operates responsibly and in full compliance.

What you will do

• Support bank partnerships by attending meetings and assisting with testing, audits, and compliance reporting requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external reviews of marketing assets to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and partner guidelines.
• Conduct routine testing of first-line defense controls to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Product, Marketing, Customer Support) to address compliance-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with vendor risk assessments, complaint management processes, and regulatory training initiatives.
• Manage and track company-wide compliance training, identifying opportunities to strengthen compliance awareness and risk protection.
• Support audits, examinations, and regulatory inquiries by gathering documentation, preparing responses, and maintaining accurate records.
• Help ensure company adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and partner requirements, minimizing legal, regulatory, and financial risks.
• Maintain clear documentation of compliance activities, testing results, and remediation efforts.
• Stay informed on relevant regulatory changes and help assess their impact on Fluz’s products, processes, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, regulatory support, or a related role within fintech, financial services, or payments.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and the importance of internal controls and risk mitigation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple compliance activities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes, findings, and action items clearly and accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with both internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in productivity and office tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and similar platforms, with strong skills in spreadsheets, document management, and collaboration tools.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
• Nice-to-have skills: Experience working with bank partners, audits, examinations, or regulatory reporting; familiarity with fintech, payments, digital wallets, or mobile financial applications; knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements such as KYC, AML, OFAC, consumer protection, and PCI-DSS; experience reviewing marketing or other customer-facing materials for compliance; exposure to vendor risk management, complaint handling, and compliance training programs; and experience using compliance tracking tools, document management systems, or internal testing frameworks.
